With an exciting and innovative break-through reader design, our new rf IDEAS' WAVE ID® Plus Sleeve Reader for the iPad® mini™ solves that challenge.
At only 96 grams (3.4 ounces), the Sleeve reader is extremely lightweight and designed to provide quick, easy, secure identification and authorization from any location. Combining proximity (125 KHz) and contactless (13.56 MHz) technologies into one reader, the Sleeve reader easily clips onto the back of selected iPad® mini™, mini 2 and mini 3 standard and retina display models.
Our newest badge reader provides all the features and functionality of our existing WAVE ID Plus desktop and surface mount readers in a user-friendly style that is easily mounted and easy to hold with the rounded sides. Its small, convenient form factor makes it easy for mobile workers to do their jobs while complying with organizational guidelines for authentication, identification and access.

The latest addition to the popular WAVE ID® family of badge readers, the WAVE ID Plus Sleeve has rounded sides making it convenient to hold and easy to carry.:

- Works with or without the iPad mini Smart Cover.
- Adjustable carrying strap for easy one-handed usage.
- Micro USB connector allows charging of the iPad mini models.
- Reader is easily programmed and configured via the micro USB connector.

Many organizations have regulatory compliance requirements which must be documented by employees. Supported by an extensive partner ecosystem of backend applications, the WAVE ID Plus Sleeve reader enables easy collection of employee information for required compliance reports. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements are met by providing authentication and access to laptops and tablets with a quick wave of the employee badge.
Secure Access
When an employee is away from their iPad mini, it is critical to secure the information. A WAVE ID Plus Sleeve reader allows a user to easily access the device with a simple wave or tap of an authorized badge. No longer does the user need cumbersome passwords. Additionally, the reader can be programmed to accommodate different cards via the configuration utility.
